L'Astrophore is an artist-run-space, founded in 2019 by a collective of artists who have created an association (1901 law). Its purpose is to support and disseminate artistic research. It wants to facilitate the development and sharing of personal or collective initiatives, whatever the media used, to act in favour of the pooling of skills, spaces and means between artists, institutions and the public. The association is composed of 5 resident members who work in the studio and 4 other artists, members of the association, with whom we develop a programme of activities and public exhibitions. Installed in a 110 m² workshop where one of the workshops used to be for making the gadgets of the famous PIF gadget magazine in Fontenay-aux-Roses. The workshop is entirely managed by the artists, it is dedicated to their research, as well as hosting exhibitions that they design collectively.
