Julia Dupont studied Fine Arts at the University Michel-de-Montaigne Bordeaux III, before specializing in Photography and Contemporary Art at the University Paris 8, where she obtained her Master's degree in 2013. Following a competition organized by the Galerie Michèle Chomette (Paris), she participates in three group exhibitions at the gallery between 2014 and 2018. In 2016, she received the Support for Contemporary Documentary Photography from the Centre national des arts plastiques for her project "Épure". The latter is exhibited in 2019 in two solo exhibitions, one at Galerie Run, Paris, and the other at the Natural History Museum in Lisbon, Portugal.

Julia Dupont's photographic practice focuses on architectural and landscape spaces as material projections of an inner world. Her gaze analyzes the universe of selected specific habitats, and attempts to pick up clues to the thought that shaped them. His photographs, fragments of spaces traversed by time, draw her sensations during his prolonged contact with built forms, their inhabitants or their stories. His series are assembled in poetic suites, sometimes unfolded in the form of an artist's book, sometimes displayed on the wall. A diffuse presence, like a leitmotiv, returns between them, that of light, which makes her images tend towards silence and abstraction.
